Glossybox Unboxing

Glossybox | Bazaar September 2014 Unboxing

I got my September Glossybox, curated by Harper’s Bazaar, in the mail yesterday and it’s pretty damn good! Just opening the box feels like opening a fancy birthday gift.

If happiness could be packaged up in a little box, it probably would resemble a little something like this. Maybe, that’s a little strong, but seriously I love this mascara and I’m excited to try the OCC Lip Tar.

Benefit They’re Real! Mascara | Retail $23 0.3 oz | Sample $7.67 0.1 oz

I bounce around from brand to brand but this is one of the first mascaras that I really felt I need to have again and again. It’s super easy to apply, it lasts, it looks great, and it was the first mascara that worked great on not just my top lashes but the bottom lashes too. I always stayed away from putting mascara on my bottom lashes because I ended up looking silly. It would smear all over and I just hated the idea of having to buy mascara that had a smaller wand specifically for the bottom lashes. With this, I don’t need to, this one will do.

Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au the Blanc Conditioner | Retail $45 6.76 oz | Sample $16.64 2.5 oz

I may have some previous bias against this, for whatever reason I just don’t think of it as high quality even though it comes with a high price tag. Maybe I just tell myself that because I can’t really afford to get addicted to conditioner that’s $45 a bottle! Wow! Which is why it’s awesome to get it in this subscription box. Brands like this is what sets this apart from the other subscription boxes I get.

Obsessive Complusive Cosmetics Lip Tar: Metallic in Authentic | Retail $18 0.33 oz

To be honest I was hoping for the Black Dahlia color because that one is really good. But, since I actually already have it, it’s better I got Authentic instead. Why was I hoping to get a color I already have? I don’t know. I just did. If you haven’t tried Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic’s Lip Tar yet what are you waiting for? I know I waited for years because I was intimated. With great reason to be, these things are super pigmented and highly addictive. I saw these at Sephora a while ago but I was a lip gloss girl and I thought it was just too much color for me. It’s probably still too much color for me but whatev, I love it. I went from having none of these to having ten. Thanks to a friend who hooked me onto Black Dahlia. From there I wanted them all. Like I said, highly addicting.

Essie Madison Ave-hue | Retail $8.50 0.46 oz

I love that this is a full sized product. I don’t know why but it always feels like you’re getting more for your money. I love the Essie brand so I knew I would love this. I got the Madison Ave-hue color which is a “Chic, Upper East Side Pink”. I love the names they come up with.

Vichy Liftactiv Night | Retail $50 1.69 oz | Sample $15.09 0.51 oz

This was the least exciting of the bunch but still pretty awesome really. I have a lot of day creams so I definitely could add this to my routine and definitely need a cream for winter. The scent is actually similar to the Bvlgari conditioner but a little lighter.
