Birchbox | September Fashionista Unboxing

I opted for the Fashionista curated box for September’s Birchbox and the box this month is super cute!

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner in Silver | Retail $16 0.04 oz | Sample $12 0.03 ozThis eyeliner claimsto be velvety-smooth and smudge-proof that delivers bold colors that lasts. It comes in fouradditional shades: black, charcoal, sky blue, and violet. Their line is vegan, cruelty-free, andparaben-free which is a plus for me. I have a ton of blackeyeliners so I was happy to get this silver one to add a little sparkle to a smokey eye. Although I happened to also get a silver Pacifica eyeliner in myIpsyGlambag this month so I went from none to two, go figure.Excitement Rating: 4/5

dr. brandt® pores no more vacuum cleaner | Retail $45 1 oz. | Sample $11.25 0.25 oz

My pores could use some cleaning out so this was another item I was happy to get. It’s supposed to extract blackhead, tighten pores, absorb excess sebum. Some of it’s key ingredients include salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and Eijitsu Rose, fancy. At $45 for the full size I’m happy to try it out before I even consider buying it.

Macadamia Professional™ Flawless Cleansing Conditioner | Retail $33 8 oz | Sample $12.38

I’m trying to get into the whole cowashing and no suds trends because my hair gets pretty dry using shampoo, so I was super excited to try this one out. I also read some reviews and it looks like a lot of people really love this one so this was the main reason I picked the Fashionista box. It’s supposed to clean and condition and cut down your blow dry time. And even happier that this sample’s value alone was more than the cost of the box! I checked Macadamia Professional’s site and they do recommend that you use their Rejuvenating Shampoo every 2nd or 3rd shampoo. So maybe it doesn’t clean out your hair all that well over time or they still want to boost those shampoo sales.

Naobay Body Radiance Lotion | Retail $24.00 | Sample $2.88

I’ve received this sample before but since it’s a specially curated boxes they can send you duplicates. But I love this lotion so I didn’t mind getting it again. It’s a natural line and it works so it’s a win-win. I don’t think I’d buy the full size however, $24 is just too much to spend on lotion in my opinion.

Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara | Retail $25 0.35 oz | Sample $14.26 0.2 oz

I’m sure I’ve said this in a previous post but I’ll keep saying it, I love sample sized mascaras. You’re supposed to toss out mascara every three months but it really pains me to when I know there’s enough product in a full sized tube to last me a year! I know that’s gross. That’s why I prefer sample sized mascaras. But seriously couldn’t they have given this product a shorter name?!
